The data collected by employers, health plans
and other benefit providers is complex, detailed and
dynamic in nature. In addition, the data
formats are as varied as the employers and providers
themselves. At Selerix, we take full advantage
of the Internet's power to connect employee data
with other systems and entities including payroll
providers, health plans, insurance carriers, third
party administrators, COBRA administrators and a
variety of internal employer systems. Our
solutions are designed to:
-
Provide a simple,
secure delivery of enrollment and eligibility data
from the system to employers, carriers and other
benefit providers.
-
Map each employer's
enrollment data into the ANSI x834 standard format
or a customized carrier-defined format.
-
Accommodate frequency
of data exchange to the employer or appropriate
carrier to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date
records are transferred.
In all cases, Selerix
works closely with each employer and its
carriers to ensure they are set up and operating
properly.
Carrier Feeds
ANSI x834 Standard Format
The Benefits-Selection system is
designed to automatically record employee benefit
elections on a year-round basis include open
enrollment, new hire enrollment, and qualified
status changes. Upon HR approval of enrollment data,
the system compiles benefit elections data in the
government-specified ANSI x834 format. Once data is
compiled, the system automatically notifies those
carriers who accept this data format that an
enrollment report is ready for download from our
secured website.
Custom-Mapped Carrier Feeds
Selerix has a growing library of
custom-mapped carrier feeds which includes a
large number of national, regional and local
providers. Custom interfaces are continually
created and maintained as appropriate carriers are
added to the system or as changes are made to
carrier systems.
Established custom feeds do away with programming
requirements by employers and carriers, and allow
all parties to send and receive data in their
required formats and unique rule structures. New
carrier-required custom feeds can be implemented on
a time and materials basis. Selerix will work
with the carrier through a documented test file
development process including file definition,
production, review and carrier approval prior to
delivering live data files.
Standard Carrier Feeds and
Reports
When the number of enrollees with any
particular carrier is insufficient to warrant a
custom-mapped carrier feed, an XML enrollment report
is provided to the carrier. The XML report
minimizes the time, expense and manual processes
involved with mailing paper reports, and allows
carriers to either import the data into their system
or print out report for subsequent data entry.
In addition, enrollment data can also be delivered
in other standard data formats including TXT, Excel
and PDF.
